Take an insightful trip in to America’s colonial past with the Freedom Trail in Boston. This 4km trail takes visitors past major historical sites located in the city that showcase the struggles undertaken during the fight for independence. Travellers will begin this momentous journey at the Boston Commons and will travel a total of 2.5 miles past 16 historic sites culminating with the Bunker Hill Monument. The collective trail spans over 2 and a half centuries worth of America’s most significant history.

When visitors arrive at the Boston Commons they pick up a map and brochures from the visitor centre located here before starting off on their journey. Visitors also have the option of taking a self guided tour or taking one of the pre arranged ones that are on offer here. For those who do not feel inclined to walk the trail, the option of taking a tram also exists.

The Boston Commons is itself also one of the 16 historical locations on the trail and was actually the location where British troops were garrisoned during the occupation from 1775 to 1776. From here travellers will journey across the remaining 15 historic destinations including Park Street Church, First Public School, Old State House and many others on a red brick trail taking in the history with each step. Each of the buildings that can be found here is strongly tied in the nations past, making the entire journey a must for history buffs. Visitors can also venture inside the buildings themselves, many of which serve as museums. The trail itself takes around two to three hours to traverse but should visitors wish to foray inside the structures than there is considerably more on offer that will take your time.

Guests looking for a Boston hotel whilst on their travel will find that The Langham Boston provides an ideal choice for both business and leisure travellers alike. The hotel stands apart from other Boston luxury hotels through its prime location and encompassing range of amenities.

Costa Rica is becoming a popular destination for corporate and incentive travel. With its diverse climate and many ecological interests, it is a country that provides just the right atmosphere for growing and learning both on a personal and a professional level. Read on to discover the top reasons why you should book your next business retreat in Costa Rica.

You can travel to Costa Rica year round. Plan your retreat when it is most convenient for you and your business instead of trying to plan around a certain travel season. The warm temperate climate makes any time of the year a good time. There are two seasons in Costa Rica. High season runs from December through April, and will mean less rain to interfere with your activities. Even during the rainy season, the rain is sporadic and you should still be able to participate in all the varied activities.

Costa Rica is a safe environment for professional travel, no need to worry about the personal safety and well being of your employees or members. Many of the stories of crime and danger are fabricated by the press and media and should not deter you from traveling there. Guided transportation is always recommended however simply because road and weather conditions can make travel difficult for those unfamiliar with the area.

Another highlight of Costa Rica is that it was the very first country to formally abolish military forces. The constitution has forbidden a standing military since 1949. And unlike many of its Central American neighbors, Costa Rica has not had a civil war since.

There are two international airports serving Costa Rica, Juan Santamaria Airport in San Jose and Liberia Airport in Guanacaste, which both offer direct flights from many major cities around the world. Transportation is provided from the airport to most major hotels and resorts. Flights to Costa Rica are economical and can actually be cheaper in some cases than flights to domestic locations.

The quality and service of the resorts and hotels is top notch while still very economical. Most resorts have meeting rooms and planning services to help you organize a productive, well run business conference. Other business accommodations include more rustic cabin retreats or you can even book a safari tent retreat!

Costa Rica has a special status as a business travel destination. Your corporate retreat is considered tax deductible if you are booking as a U.S. company.

There is a wide range of activities to participate in during off work hours. From simple sport fishing, golfing, surfing and just relaxing on warm sandy beaches to jungle tours, waterfall rappelling, and zip lining, it is all available here year round.

Costa Rica offers inspiring surroundings for letting all those creative juices flow! The tranquil beauty and luxurious scenery is sure to stimulate plenty of free thinking and renewed energy.

So, why not make Costa Rica your next corporate travel destination? Excellent accommodations and the warm tropical climate make it the perfect spot for year round business travel.

Check out cheap family vacation packages to Ambergris Caye Belize staying at the Royal Caribbean Resort

You should check the Royal Caribbean Resort when planning a family vacation to Belize and Ambergris Caye this year.
With a rate of around $150, the Royal Caribbean Resort could be the place for a cheap family vacation and a great value holiday .

It has been built to look like an old fashioned Belize village with thatched beachfront cabanas, and a pier as you would have expected to find in days gone by. The Royal Caribbean Resort has deliberately set out to create an atmosphere of simplicity and affordability without letting standards drop, and by and large it succeeds.

The Royal Caribbean Resort sits beachfront just south of San Pedro, just far enough away from this noisy small town, so it is quiet and peaceful, yet near enough to visit, and in fact you get very good views of the town from the resort. Unlike some other Ambergris Caye hotels, the town of San Pedro, which is about a mile away, is easily accessible on foot along the beach, and for the lazy guests an easily available taxi.

The Royal Caribbean Resort covers four and a half acres with 42 air conditioned cabanas, which contain all you will need. There is a living room, cable TV, and a kitchenette adjoining. In addition to the air conditioning there are ceiling fans. The general feeling amongst guests is that the cabanas are comfortable clean, and spacious, and are excellent value for money.

Be aware the beach here isn’t great, the water is very shallow and full of sea grass, but the swimming pool is nice, and one of the reasons this is worth considering when planning a family vacation to Belize. You really can’t snorkel here, but it is very easy to organise trips and be picked up from the dock at the resort and taken to great reef locations where you will see all the fish you ever want.

It is important never to make your expectations too high when buying a cheap family vacation package, because you can be very disappointed. If you remember that the Royal Caribbean Resort isn’t five star you will have a great time.
The food in the restaurant called the Sandbar is excellent, and if you go fishing then they will very happily cook your catch almost any way you request.

One important feature to getting great value from a cheap family vacation is to make use of the staff of your resort. How helpful that will be depends on the quality of the staff, and in the case of the Royal Caribbean Resort you need have no fears. The staff are as good and helpful as you will meet anywhere, and will go out of their way to make sure everything you need comes to pass.

If your family is the partying sort then the Royal Caribbean Resort is probably not for you, as it is a very quiet laid back resort, indeed you will find it almost deserted during the day. It’s almost as if fellow guests use it as a base for either fishing, diving or taking exploration trips to see Mayan ruins, or jungle places.

You could do well to hire a golf cart to get around locally as it is cheaper to do this than continually hire taxis.

For the money the Royal Caribbean Resort is great value, so if you are planning a family vacation, and it needs to be a cheap family vacation package, having to be in Belize on Ambergris Caye, close to San Pedro, then choose the Royal Caribbean Resort.

In a country that boasts unparalleled adventure travel and eco tours, corporations and individuals alike are happy that a good round of golf has not been overlooked. Not only does Costa Rica offer challenging courses in several locations, it offers them surrounded by ocean vistas and rain forest borders. What could be better at the end of a long day of meetings and workshops than an invigorating round of your favorite sport in such gorgeous surroundings?

Costa Rica is still considered a fairly new golfing destination but thanks to recently upgraded and designed courses by such well known course architects as Robert Trent Jones Jr., Mike Young and George Fazio, it is rapidly becoming a premiere golf destination. Most resorts in the country offer top notch accommodations for your corporate getaway by providing spacious meeting rooms, state of the art audio visual equipment, and catering services to make your conferences and seminars efficient and productive.

Golfing opportunities are often provided with the resort’s corporation packages, but if you want to explore some of the area’s golf courses on your own, here is a list of some of the best.

Parque Valle Del Sol
Located near San Jose, this course was redesigned by Tracy May in 1994 and provides a challenging and quite diverse course. Surrounded by mature trees that have been left in place and an abundance of rolling hills, it is a course to be enjoyed by players of any skill level.

Costa Rica Country Club
This is the oldest golf course in Costa Rica and is similar to what most would call an executive course, meaning it is short and uncomplicated. If you are staying in one of the major hotels in the area, you can usually arrange for a tee time here at the front desk.

Cariari Country Club
Also located near San Jose, the Cariari is considered the best course in Costa Rica. It was designed by George Fazio and has been open since 1973. It has hosted many international tournaments over the years and most players agree it is quite a challenge.

Hacienda Pinilla
This is a public course on the North Pacific shore. Designed by Mike Young, it is an 18-hole championship course covering 4500 acres of trees and cliff edges as well as beautiful ocean shoreline. This area of Costa Rica can get quite warm so it is best to try for early morning tee times if at all possible.

Melia Conchal
This course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr is often considered the most challenging of Costa Rica courses due to its substantial length and constantly changing elevation. Simply put, it is a large course with lots of water, rolling hills, shifting elevations, sweeping fairways and awesome scenery.

La Iguana Golf Course
The 18-hole, par-72 course, designed by Ted Robinson Jr, plays through the Los Sueños resort’s private rainforest reserve. Play among exotic native plants, banana trees and orchids and native Costa Rica wildlife. More than 150 species of birds as well as monkeys and other wildlife have been identified on the grounds.

There are even more courses scattered throughout the country, but these certainly represent some of the most played and most popular.

There are a lot of great destinations possible to a group of friends who are ready to get away from the everyday for a while. While a bit off the beaten path, Costa Rica is a fantastic getaway for friends of all kinds and offers an inexpensive and relaxing background to truly enjoy.

Costa Rica is an inexpensive travel destination for most American tourists as it’s relatively near the US which can keep airfare costs down. It also offers quite luxurious potential group packages at reasonable prices with hotel and condo amenities near luxurious and unbelievable ocean beaches. Costa Rica is also the safest country in South America, and while normal avenues of caution are recommended regarding personal belongings and safety, it is a safe destination to head to with a few girlfriends alone. It is also important to mention that Costa Rica was the very first country to formally abolish military forces. The constitution has forbidden a standing military since 1949. And unlike many of its Central American neighbors, Costa Rica has not had a civil war since.

The country offers something for everything. Relaxation is king on the mind of tourists, of course, and it’s to be had in spades whether down at the beach, at a spa, a natural hot spring or on a walk through some of the lush ecosystems of the countryside. Costa Rica boasts an outstanding range of flora and fauna to say nothing of an abundance of natural geographic features like forests, mountains, rivers, rainforests, tropical reefs and even active volcanoes! The Costa Ricans have had the good wisdom to protect many of these things as national parks so hopefully people for many decades to come can visit and enjoy these untouched natural treasures.

Of course, if you’re like an average group of friends probably you’re all a little different. At least one of you is going to think that going on rip cords through the cloud forests sounds thrilling while another of you is going to be terrified at the thought and would prefer to go see the unbelievably cute capuchin monkeys, and that’s okay. As long as everyone can agree that spending their vacation in a balmy, tropical paradise sounds like a wonderful getaway, then there are activities enough to do in smaller groups and meet back together for a gorgeous sunset dinner and drinks. You have the opportunity in Costa Rica to do some truly amazing things, from surfing, horseback riding, kayaking, fishing, snorkeling, or swimming, to seeing over 800 species of orchids, dozens of species of animals unheard of in North America, and more unique species of bird than Europe has to offer. Or, if those beaches call you, there’s nothing to say you can’t just sit back, relax, and enjoy the view.

Costa Rica makes a lovely vacation away from the boyfriends, husbands, family and kids for a time just the girls can share. It’s safe, lush, luxurious and an ideal destination to get away from it all for a few days.
